More to come...

Palmer-Tingley people

Our job is to put clients in the spotlight, so we're not used to being in front of the camera. However, we've dragged a few of us kickin' and screamin' to grin in front of the lens...

Stephen J. Smith
Stephen - caught on camera at last!

Stephen J. Smith - Senior Consultant, Partner
Stephen has enjoyed a highly-successful career in marketing communications, sales, and business management, both in the UK and in the USA, the highlight of which was the launch of his own successful consultancy in the 1980s.  A Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce, he has given lectures in the USA and in the UK on PR and marketing and is currently compiling a book on the changing face of the marketing communications industry.

When not working... (!) Stephen is an avid enthusiast of all things aquatics and has, not surprisingly, been a regular contributor to fishkeeping publications. He also an inveterate "wordsmith": Stephen's studies of the written and the spoken word have even led him to develop a career as a voice-over actor and he has subsequently appeared as a presenter on a number of TV shows as well as coaching voice-over and directing voice productions.

Palmer Tingley (1614 - 1638)

Palmer Tingley set sail from England to The New World in 1635 on the ship THE PLANTER. He landed in Charlestown, Massachusetts Bay Colony, and later located in Ipswich, Massachusetts.

Deborah Smith, one of the partners of Palmer-Tingley llc, is thought to be the 11th-generation grand-daughter of Palmer Tingley. The English connection is completed by senior consultant Stephen Smith, who was also born in England (though somewhat later than 1614!).
